The Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Intellectual Property recently held its tenth competition for outstanding IP inventions. There were 117 invention projects in the competition, which were subject to rounds of expert evaluation and inventor demonstration. At the conclusion of the event, ten Gold Patent Medals were awarded to the competition winners. ASK’s “Esomeprazole Sodium and Related Drug Conjugates” came out on the top of the gold medals, with the highest overall scores in this group. In 2016, ASK Pharm was the sole organization from Jiangsu Province that won a National Gold Medal for Outstanding Industrial Patents, which had been jointly issued by the State Intellectual Property Office of PRC (SIPO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). ASK’s Esomeprazole Sodium for Injection (奧一明?) was the first domestic available esomeprazole injection product that has been listed as an essential medication by the national health insurance. The continuous recognitions of ASK invention and innovation is a proven testimonial to ASK’s strengths in operation and management, this has also inspired ASK Pharm to continue its strategic endeavor in novel drug development and business investment for the future.
